From account setup to your first connection

Subscription Import and Connection Guide

First, prepare your account and subscription in the dashboard, then import the subscription into a client on your device. The steps below follow the actual setup sequence: complete each step, check the result, and then move on. Start by connecting on a device you use regularly; you can add other devices later.

Create an account and save your login details

Select “Start Free” below to open the VPNYoung account creation page. Choose a username and password, then follow the on-screen instructions to submit. No email address is required; create an account with a username and password. Choose a username that’s easy for you to remember but doesn’t directly reveal your identity. Use a unique password and save it in a trusted password manager.

After submitting, follow the dashboard prompts to open your account overview. If you’re taken back to the login screen, sign in with the username and password you just saved. Once you can see your account details, you’re ready to choose a plan. The free access link takes you to the dashboard; check the plan page for actual prices and available features. Accessing the dashboard does not activate a plan.

If your username is unavailable, choose another and try again. If you can’t sign in, check your keyboard input, letter case, and whether any extra spaces were copied. There’s no need to create another account or repeatedly attempt payment. For account issues, first see the Help Center’s account and subscription guide, then continue once you can sign in.

Choose a plan and check your order

Once your account is ready, open the plans section in the dashboard. If you regularly use international websites, AI tools, or streaming services, compare monthly subscriptions based on your estimated monthly data use. If your usage is irregular, consider a data package that lasts until used and never expires. Choose a billing option that suits you, then compare data allowances rather than looking at price alone.

Monthly subscriptions: ¥9.9/month for 60GB, ¥18/month for 250GB, and ¥28/month for 500GB. Data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages: ¥158 for 300GB, ¥358 for 1000GB, and ¥658 for 3000GB, with no expiration. There’s no device limit, but plan your data use based on your needs; adding a device does not give each device a separate data allowance.

After choosing a plan, check the price, data allowance, and billing terms in your order, then pay with Alipay, WeChat Pay, or USDT as prompted by the dashboard. Return to the dashboard and check your order and plan status. Once it’s active, get your subscription. If the payment page shows that payment is complete but your plan details haven’t changed, refresh the status and check your existing order before trying again to avoid duplicate payments.

This service offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. See the refund policy for details on how to request a refund. If you later want to upgrade mid-term, the price difference is prorated based on the remaining days; check the result shown in the dashboard before submitting the change. To compare all options, visit the plans and data packages page.

Choose this plan

Get your subscription and manage it in your client

Once your plan is active, open the account overview in the dashboard and find the subscription section. The subscription URL lets your client retrieve the routes and rules associated with your account. It’s not a regular webpage to open repeatedly in a browser, nor is it an installer. Import it into your client instead of pasting it into a search box.

If the dashboard offers a one-click import option for your client, install the client first, then return here. If your browser asks to open an external app, check which app it’s targeting before allowing it. If the client doesn’t open automatically, use the dashboard’s copy option, then choose the option to add a subscription by URL in your client. Both methods do the same thing, so there’s no need to add the same configuration twice.

After copying the URL, switch directly to your client and import it. The subscription URL contains access credentials, so don’t share it in public posts, shared documents, unredacted screenshots, or with unrelated tools. If you need to report an issue to support, provide the error message and steps you took, and redact the subscription details from any screenshots. If you think the URL has been exposed, look for a reset option in the dashboard or ask support through a ticket.

Once you’ve retrieved your subscription, choose a client for your device’s operating system. If you can’t find the subscription section, first make sure you’re signed in to the account used for payment, then check your plan status. Subscriptions are linked to accounts, so another account’s order status won’t confirm that this page is showing the right details.

Go to account overview

Import on your device and confirm the routes appear

Open the downloads section in the account dashboard, choose the VPNYoung client for your operating system, and read the installation and import instructions beside it. You can access the Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux clients by signing in; you don’t need to have purchased a plan. An active subscription must still be confirmed in your account. For iOS, follow the access instructions provided in the dashboard. This page does not provide direct download links or subscription URLs.

For each platform, use a client that can manage subscriptions and routing rules. For your first setup, use the client provided by VPNYoung and the matching import method in the dashboard. There’s no need to search for similarly named apps. After installing the client, return to your account overview to get the subscription. If you’ve already copied the URL, open the client’s configuration management section directly.

Get the client

Windows: Add a subscription from configuration management

Choose Windows in the downloads section and install the client recommended for your system, following the dashboard instructions. In the client, look for “Subscription,” “Configuration,” or “Profiles,” then choose the option to add a configuration and import it from a URL. Paste in the subscription URL you copied. If a name is required, enter an easy-to-recognize label such as VPNYoung, save it, and update the configuration.

After the update, you should see the configuration and its route list. Select this configuration, keep the default rules for now, and continue to the connection check below. If one-click import from the dashboard has already created the configuration, don’t add it manually again. If your system asks for permission, confirm the app’s source before granting it. Don’t disable your system’s overall security protections just to complete the import.

macOS: Import and confirm the active configuration

Choose the macOS client in the downloads section, follow the instructions to install it, and open it. Go to configuration or subscription management and add the VPNYoung subscription by URL. If your browser can open the client correctly, you can also use the dashboard’s one-click import. Wait for the configuration to update, then make sure the new one is selected—not a blank configuration or an older one.

macOS may request system permissions the first time you start a connection. Read the system prompt, confirm the app name, and allow access. Then return to the client and check the connection status. If the app mainly runs from the menu bar, click its menu bar icon to find the configuration and connection options. Importing prepares the client; you still need to connect before verifying access.

Android: Add a configuration using the subscription URL

Sign in and get the Android client from the downloads section, then install and open it as instructed in the dashboard. In the app, open the configuration or subscription list, tap Add, and choose the option to import from a link or URL. Paste in the subscription URL and save it. Wait for the app to fetch the configuration. Once the routes appear, select the imported configuration and tap Connect.

The first time you connect, your system will usually ask whether to allow the app to set up a VPN connection. Confirm the request comes from the client you just installed, then allow it and check that the app shows a connected status. If another VPN app is already connected on your device, disconnect it before enabling the VPNYoung client to avoid one connection replacing the other. Only adjust background-running settings if you actually run into an issue; there’s no need to change a lot of system settings in advance.

iOS: Get the client and allow the configuration as prompted

On your iPhone or iPad, sign in to the account dashboard, open the downloads section, and choose iOS. The dashboard handles client access and installation. If it says you need an eligible plan, return to your account overview and check your status before continuing. After installing the client, go back to the subscription section and use the matching import option provided by the dashboard. You can also add the subscription by URL from the client’s subscription or configuration page.

After importing, check that the configuration includes routes, then connect. When prompted to allow the VPN configuration, confirm the app and allow it, then complete any required on-device authorization. Return to the client and check the connection result. Don’t assume you’re connected just because the configuration was added. If you have other saved configurations, make sure you’re connecting with the VPNYoung configuration you just imported.

Linux and setup on additional devices

Linux users can also get the client from the dashboard’s downloads section and import the subscription using the relevant instructions. There’s no device limit. To use the service on other devices, install the appropriate client on each one, import the subscription, and grant the required permissions. For more detailed platform setup, configuration maintenance, and advanced features, see the complete user guide. For now, focus on getting your first connection working.

Enable smart routing and verify access

Return to the client’s home screen and make sure the configuration you just imported and updated is selected, then connect. For your first session, keep rules or smart routing enabled instead of switching straight to global mode. VPNYoung’s app-based routing depends on the client loading the rules correctly. Seeing route names alone doesn’t mean the rules or connection are enabled.

After connecting, check that the client shows a connected status. Then open an international website or AI tool you normally use, load a page, and try a typical task. If the client provides connection logs, check whether the relevant requests used the expected route. Don’t rely only on the system icon or test only with ordinary local websites: in rules mode, those requests may still go directly over your local connection.

If a regular webpage loads but a particular app still doesn’t work, close and reopen the app so new requests use the current connection. Then check the client mode, subscription update status, and route assigned to that app. Access to some services may also depend on account eligibility, service region, and the platform’s own rules. A working network connection does not grant access to third-party services.

If none of the services you need are accessible, first make sure your local internet connection works. Then check your plan status, whether the subscription updated successfully, whether the correct configuration is selected, and whether system permissions are in place. Change one setting at a time and note the results so you can identify the cause. If the issue persists, see connection and troubleshooting FAQs or sign in to the dashboard’s support ticket section. Include your device’s operating system, the client’s message, and the checks you’ve completed. Don’t include the full subscription URL.
